Therapy after major weight loss

Therapy after major weight loss for the part of you still catching up.

Major weight loss can bring relief, pride, grief, attention, vulnerability, and uncertainty - sometimes all at once. Therapy gives the emotional aftermath somewhere to go.

Why “after” can feel harder than expected

The outside world often treats weight loss as a finish line. Your real experience may be more complicated. Your body may feel unfamiliar. Attention from other people may land differently. Old relationship roles may no longer fit. You may feel pressure to be grateful while privately wondering why confidence did not arrive on schedule.

None of that erases your progress. It means a physical change touched identity, intimacy, and belonging - parts of life that cannot be measured by a scale.

Therapy can help you work through

The goal is not to force yourself to love every reflection. It is to build a relationship with yourself that can hold honesty, change, and choice.

A direct, compassionate approach

Dr. Victoria Panna's style is warm, candid, and conversational. Sessions make room for the thoughts you edit around other people. The work connects present-day reactions to the patterns underneath them, then turns insight into boundaries, experiments, language, and choices you can actually use.

This specialty is for individual adults. Sessions are online for clients located in New Jersey or Pennsylvania at the time of the appointment. Private-pay sessions are $180 and scheduling is completed through a secure external platform.
